I made a dress!

Our school paired up some animation majors with fashion majors to create something unique for the annual fashion show. We settled on making an activity book with paper dolls and fashion-centric art (you already met Boss Hog!). In addition to that, we paired up and made dresses out of paper. My partner and I talked about our favorite elements of animations and settle on the idea of transition and change.

We started out with the idea of doing one dress but in the end it morphed into two (at least we stuck with our theme of transition!).

They're finally on display (along with an enormous Boss Hog printout, you may notice) at the school's gallery right now and I can finally share them with you.

Busty Girl Comic

I've got a series of things in the works right now, but they're all moving pretty slowly so it's likely the things I'll be posting for a bit will mostly fall into  the warm-ups and doodles section of things. I've been reading through, and relating to, Busty Girl Comics and made one of my own.

Thanks for visiting!

A Painting and Some Laaadies

Here is a little color study of a character from the story I'm exploring for my Senior Studio class. This project is going waaaaaay slower than I'd like. I lost steam halfway through and have been chugging along at low steam since. It's based on the Sword in the Stone but set in 17th century India. This is the main character (the orphaned king)'s best friend, Sai. She was horribly burned as a toddler and often hides her face with a scarf. She climbs better than a monkey and is daring and mischevious.

Watercolors on paper.

I crashed the costumed figured drawing class on my first day free after leaving my retail job. The model was a bit stiff/bland, and it took me a long while to get into the swing of things but I had so much fun! I want to do some watercolors of some of these.
