Work In Progress: Bunnies In Desert

Hey guys! Worked this up from some thumbnails today after I ruined a painting. Please give me feedback, I am all for!

Thanks!

  1. I like!
The emptiness of the center is really interesting. You have so much to the sides, but the center just has a couple of small, featureless objects. It almost makes it look like the bunnies are camping out in the shade as they consider the distance. I'm not sure if that's what you're going for, but that's just how I see it. It's a cute image on first glance, but then on looking at it again, there actually does appear to be a story in it.

  2. Actually, forget that I said 'almost' up there. I was trying to be vague in case I'm completely misinterpreting what you're doing. I really do think that the bunnies are considering the distance. Their slightly cocked heads make them appear curious, and while I know their exact placement near the edge of the shadow is probably just to make the perspective work, to me it also seems to suggest that they're really thinking of going for it.

  3. i think they are wondering how far it is to the next patch of shade and if their little feetsies can handle the hot sand... or will they pfffft burn up in a little pile of bunny ashes if they attempt the crossing....bunnies worry about this stuf all the time... that and wolves... they worry about them too
