Live Art PDX
Oh man Oh man, I went to a Live Art life drawing session at Backspace cafe today and it was a lot of fun!! Here's what I did (sharpie and india ink).
I don't usually get weekends off to go to these but it was fantastic and I would LOVE to go again!!
These sketches are so good! The woman in the bottom right of this one http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0Pk0xCgzQPQ/TZfVAINVkLI/AAAAAAAAAYA/aXkJUeCFWK4/s1600/04_02_2011_06.JPG is very interesting; the style is quite different from what you normally put up on here, but I still love it. A curly-haired gal, I especially like the way you've suggested her hair's texture with only a few lines and the shape of the shading.
My other favorite is the girl holding the flowers in this one http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jZFmy8ngLTI/TZfU9yRJI9I/AAAAAAAAAX0/5kCObi9F85w/s1600/04_02_2011_03.JPG . Her body language is nice, but I think her expression really stands out. It's intriguing, and I can't really tell what she's thinking. You don't happen to have a photo of the model in that pose, do you? Sorry, I just love the facial expression and the tight shoulders.
These look great! Hm, maybe I should go to one of these. It looks like the models know what they are doing.

Aw, sorry Tosha. I didn't take any photos at the drawing session. >.< I don't even remember what she was doing when I painted that. Sorry!
